Coat of Chainmail

A Coat of Chainmail is an important armoury wore by the men in war for protecting their torso/upper half of the body. This 17th century coat mail, at the front, is open and has four steel plates with carvings, studded at the center with buckles. On the back side, the coat is intact with five rows of small rectangular steel plates attached covering the back till the hips. The coat is long, with the lower section of the coat having a slit to facilitate easy sitting and also for riding a horse.
The coat is damaged at different places.
